Meet Janet Hardy – Member at Large

Janet A. Hardy (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Therapist who works primarily with young adults and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Janet is an activist committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable world for the LGBTQ+ community in the Tupelo, MS area. In addition to her work as a licensed therapist, she is dedicated to creating safe and affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive, find support, and access the resources they need to live their lives authentically and with dignity. Janet revived Delta State University’s Gay-Straight Alliance in 2014, has been a member of PFLAG since 2017, and has volunteered with Tupelo Pride since 2018. Janet currently volunteers with Girl Scouts and serves on the boards of Tupelo Mutual Aid Project, PFLAG Tupelo, and Pride of Tupelo. She is committed to building coalitions, fostering allyship, and advocating for policies and practices that advance the rights and well-being of all marginalized communities.
